Oh, the places Titans will go! 🚎🌎Thanks to the Hampstead Women’s Club for sponsoring Mrs. Seri’s students’ trip to the Burgwin‑Wright Historic Home — a perfect finale to the unit on American colonial history! Ms. Hamel’s AP English classes also explored the New Hanover County Arboretum to gather research for an essay assignment. Field trips = real-world learning + unforgettable inspiration + great cross-curricular connections. Where will our Titans go next?

The HTHS Unified Titans Inclusion Club spent last week celebrating inclusion, kindness, and belonging during Spread the Word for Inclusion Spirit Week!
Throughout the week, students and staff stopped by during lunch to sign our Inclusion Pledge Poster, promising to help make Trask a school where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included.
We were so excited to see so many Titans take the pledge and show that inclusion matters. Every signature represents a commitment to choosing respect, friendship, and acceptance every day.

This week the SparkLab Titans leveled up 🎮⚡
Spark Scholars from Heide Trask High School traveled to explore the University of North Carolina at Greensboro campus and learn about their growing UNCG Esports Academic Program, where students can now pursue both a minor and a major in Esports.
They heard from two professors about careers in game design, art, production, and esports management, toured campus, tested their skills in the esports arena, and yes… sampled the legendary cafeteria fuel.
Moments like these help our scholars see real pathways from the SparkLab to college and careers. Ideas sparked, dreams upgraded, Titans inspired.

Tomorrow, FFA week will continue with Western Wednesday! Not sure what to wear? Get some inspiration from Ms. Seri's students! After a unit about the influence of the Spanish vaquero on the American cowboy, they attended a local rodeo and had a great educational experience!

SparkLab x Betabox = Titans in Tech Mode! ⚡
Last Friday our SparkLab Titans leveled up with an onsite field trip from Betabox Learning! Spark Scholars brought a friend and dove headfirst into the world of autonomous vehicles… coding drones, steering robot cars, and discovering how real engineers teach machines to think.
From first-time flyers to future programmers, our scholars showed curiosity, teamwork, and serious problem-solving power. A special shoutout to Mr. Reynolds’ 1st period class for jumping in and tackling the Betabox challenges with Titan grit!
Big ideas. Real tech. Curious minds.
That’s how the SparkLab keeps the momentum rolling.
