Remembering, learning, and sharing traditions: Ms. Skrypek’s World Language classes celebrated Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a traditional Mexican and Latin American holiday honoring deceased loved ones on November 1 and 2, with celebrations beginning October 31.
Today, students enjoyed Pan de Muerto and hot chocolate and explored the holiday through a film study and cultural analysis. Students also completed a differentiated writing assignment about who they remember & honor (English for beginners & Spanish for Heritage speakers).

Through the PCS Dream Big Career Quest, students can explore a month of interactive career activities including videos, career guessing games, skill match-ups and opportunities to reflect on their own futures, all with no login required. 🚀💼
The month will feature weekly themes, career spotlights ranging from healthcare and technology to creative and community-focused careers, a Career Development Spirit Week and the Fall Into Your Future Career Fair on November 20. 🎃👻 Spooky Tech Takes Over the SparkLab! 💻⚡
Today, the SparkLab was buzzing with creativity, innovation, and just the right amount of spooky fun as we welcomed visitors to our Spooky Tech Demo Day!
Our Spark Scholars transformed the lab into an interactive experience where students could explore, play, and discover what happens when imagination meets technology!
🎮 Visitors tested video games developed by Spark Scholars, including games created using Scratch and other game development tools.
♟️ Students challenged each other to checkers on a custom-designed, 3D-printed game board.
🧩 3D-printed puzzles and hands-on challenges put visitors' problem-solving skills to the test.
🎶 Original music composed by a Spark Scholar provided the soundtrack for the entire experience.
🎨 And because it wouldn't be Spooky Demo Day without a little Halloween spirit, we added face painting to the festivities!
But the real magic wasn't the technology. It was the students behind it! Our Spark Scholars took their ideas from imagination to creation, using creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and plenty of trial and error to bring their projects to life.

Ms. Hamel’s English students visited the library for festive literacy stations today! They practiced grammar with a pumpkin coloring activity, wrote eulogies for deceased characters from class readings, explored Day of the Dead traditions through a reading, and created their own Gothic literature vocabulary glossary.

Ever trained like the pros? 🏈✨ Our Sports Medicine students recently stepped into SciSport Physical Therapy and learned from Dr. Caleb Strassberg — former Broncos athletic trainer turned local clinic founder. Students got hands-on experience with cutting-edge sports medicine tech and real rehab workflows.
Coincidentally, today is Internal Medicine Day + First Responders Day — huge salute to ALL of the healthcare heroes shaping tomorrow’s clinicians.

Thank you to Tony and Viviana Esparza from Siemens Smart Infrastructure for presenting future career options to Ms. Seri's FLEX students. We learned that HTHS uses Siemens technologies for school fire alarms and the HVAC system! Students learned about employable skills needed in today's workforce, and entry-level, trade school certified, and college career paths within the company. We are so grateful to Siemens for sharing with our students, and especially loved the Siemens Swag!

✨What a magical weekend! ✨On October 23rd, we crowned our 2026 Homecoming King and Queen. On October 24th, we danced the night away as we celebrated the announcement of our 9th-11th grade Homecoming Princes & Princessess! Congratulations to ALL of our honorees, and major thanks to everyone who made our 2026 Homecoming festivities so special! The memories, the music, the Titan pride made it a weekend to remember!
