Hibernation Day was the absolute best way to wrap up our bear unit in kindergarten! 🐻 We loved learning all about black bears, grizzly bears, and even polar bears this week! We learned so many cool facts about what makes them different and lots of similarities too! Top it off with the Bear Book series by Karma Wilson, work stations in our very own caves, some STEM bear den building, and even a few tasty treats... it couldn't possibly get any better! Officially bear experts here at CFE 🐾

Second grade learned about the sun’s light and how it impacts our Earth. Students spent Monday and Tuesday learning how to create a structure to shade cows from the Sun’s light and heat. They then flipped the script on Wednesday and Thursday to find a way to warm up “Chill City” a town that is surrounded by mountains and gets no direct sunlight. Students had to use different materials to bring light to the frozen town!
