Prek is investigating all about buildings. Children were tasked with building a building as tall as they are. With this experience, children are having to practice measuring skills, gross motor manipulation, balance, spatial awareness, being persistent, showing flexibility and inventiveness, and demonstrating knowledge of the physical properties of objects and materials. Children were also tasked with drawing a blueprint of their building connecting their building to literacy and art.
