Two of Mr. Morgan's 5th grade enrichment students, Bailee and Freddy, completed a service learning project for their final project of the year. They chose to partner with the Pender County Humane Society. They created 17 rope-based dog toys to donate to the no-kill animal shelter. Their desire was to help animals in the community by providing comfort and entertainment while awaiting their FURever home! The pups in the shelter are so grateful.

Prek has been investing insects! Part of our study included getting live ladybugs and today we released them. We have learned all about their lifecycle, where they live, what they eat, and even how they help our farmers and crops. Prek did a fantastic job learning the stages of the lifecycle and asking more higher-level questions that opened up conversations about insects and led to us researching to find answers.

Today we celebrated Dr. Oates and wished her the best Principal's Day ever!

Congratulations Dr. Chris on being awarded the UNCW Partnership Teacher Award last night.

Ms. Coleman's class loved this hands on experiment where they dissected Owl Pellets.

Reminder: Wednesday is an Early Release Day. Dismissal is at 11:30.
