Family Skills Building offers 2 programs.
Guiding Good Choices is the only program that includes elementary aged students. Guiding Good Choices is a science-based, proven, effective prevention program for parents and/or caregivers of youth ages 9-14 that provides parents skills to strengthen and clarify family expectations for behavior, enhance the conditions that promote bonding within the family, and teach skills that allow children to resist drug use successfully.

Yesterday Ms. Kerr came out to recess with 2nd grade. While there a little girl asked her to read a book to her. Ms. Kerr stopped everything in her busy day to stop and read with her. This is what it’s all about!

Today, Mrs. Hollifield’s class celebrated finishing their Wit and Wisdom text "The Little Yellow Leaf" by recreating their favorite illustrations from the text with items found on a nature walk.





Ms. Smith and Ms. Hill's classes enjoyed a tasty treat for the end of unit soil exploration of the layers of soil.




Our custodians were able to enjoy lunch on us today to end out Custodian Appreciation Week! Thank you for all you do! Deputy Cobb even helped us celebrate!

Kindergarten is making clay sea turtles this week in art! We are learning about texture and the sense of touch! We made the texture on the turtle shells by stepping on the clay!
