What a great last post to finish off Read Across America Week. Mrs. Taylor's mini me. Legs crossed and all.
Mrs Robertsons class finished the week up with math, science, and writing skills for measuring. Children used multiple items to measure with and wrote the corresponding number.
Meet Osvaldo. He came and read to Ms. Lawrence's class today! He’s thinking of becoming an elementary teacher after high school!
Mrs. Hollifield's 2nd grade class earned snow cones for a perfect attendance reward! Coming to school sure is sweet!
5th grade did a STEM field trip to Scooters today. They enjoyed learning about force and motion, and skating!
Ms. Hamilton served up a special snack this morning. I think they like Green Eggs and Ham! #onepender

Today 5th grade celebrated the end of their module with a Royal Celebration! They had snacks based on wordplay, compared the novel with the movie and came to school dressed as idioms.

Mrs Robertsons class has been conducting a study on Theodor Geisel also known as Dr. Seuss. They have conducted an in depth study on the master of rhyming. This has included learning about number bonds, identifying numbers, writing, generating rhyming words, and more!
Our Ms. Kerr is getting married this weekend! We wish you and your fiance a lifetime of love and happiness.
Our Cubs were treated today to a special performance from The Raleigh Rockers. They learned about Hip Hop and the 4 elements of MC, DJ, Breaking, and Graffiti. Ask your Cub about what they learned today.
