PENDER COUNTY, NC - Pender County Schools announces a Special Board of Education Meeting on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be hosted by the Pender County Board of Commissioners at 805 S. Walker St., Burgaw, NC 28425.
Board members may attend either in person or virtually.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the following topics: (1)CIP/Proactive Maintenance; (2) Future School Bond Discussion; (3) Transportation Improvements; (4) NC Capital Needs Based Grant; (5) PCS Transportation Facility / Fleet Garage; (6) Roofing Needs: $1.5 for CFCC/BMS; (7) Mutual Lobbying & Long Term Planning Efforts; and (8) Vaping in Schools.
