The North Carolina Spot Festival, held annually in Hampstead, North Carolina, continues to make a meaningful impact beyond the festival weekend by giving back to local schools.

During the January 13, 2025 Pender County Board of Education meeting, members of the NC Spot Festival Board presented funding checks to school representatives in support of students, programs, and extracurricular activities across the district. Festival Board members were also formally recognized by Pender County Schools for their generosity and continued partnership in supporting education.

Funding Awards by School

South Topsail Elementary School received $354.98 to support student learning and school needs.

Surf City Elementary School received $787.14 to help enrich classroom instruction and student resources.

Topsail Middle School received $872.03 to support school programs and student opportunities.

Topsail High School received funding across multiple programs and student organizations, including:

  • Anders Classroom — $241.80

  • CTE (Career & Technical Education) — $1,664.31

  • Public Safety — $936.33

  • Boys Soccer — $630.23

  • DECA — $1,126.69

  • FFA — $583.92

  • HOSA — $16,509.32

  • JROTC — $2,942.77

  • National Honor Society — $1,046.95

  • Robotics — $4,553.05

  • Women’s Basketball — $1,142.12

  • Women’s Golf — $1,265.59

  • Baseball — $1,342.77
