In honor of School Board Appreciation Month, Pender County Schools recognizes Jason Spivey, who represents District 4 on the Pender County Board of Education.
Mr. Spivey was sworn in during 2024 and brings a strong background in leadership, public service, and community engagement. In addition to his role on the Board, he previously served as Mayor of Atkinson and has dedicated 16 years of service to law enforcement. His experience provides valuable perspective on safety, governance, and community needs.
As a board member, Mr. Spivey is committed to supporting students, families, and educators while strengthening partnerships between schools and the broader community.
Dr. Breedlove shared, “Mr. Spivey’s dedication to public service is evident in everything he does. His leadership experience and commitment to our community add great value to the Board of Education.”
