Pender County Schools is partnering with Cape Fear Community College to offer evening classes for individuals interested in becoming substitute teachers. This training is designed for those seeking a second income, bus drivers, and college students, anyone looking to make a positive impact in our schools.
The course will run October 13 through November 5 at the Burgaw Center, meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45–8:45 p.m. Participants will receive 24 hours of instruction and be well-prepared for the classroom experience, covering lesson plans, behavioral challenges, classroom management, and more.
The cost to register is $75, and space is limited to 14 participants. Interested individuals must be at least 18 years old.
