cfcc dual enrollment

It may be early in the school year, but it’s never too early to plan for the future. Pender County Schools is inviting 7th and 8th grade students and their families to learn more about the many dual enrollment opportunities available through Cape Fear Community College.

Dual enrollment allows eligible high school students to take college-level courses while still meeting their high school requirements. The program provides a tuition-free head start on college education and helps students transition smoothly from high school to higher education.

Families will have the opportunity to ask questions and gather information about three pathways:

  • College Accelerated Program

  • Pender Early College High School

  • Career & College Promise

Upcoming Information Sessions

  • Pender High School – September 3, 5:30–6:30 PM

  • Topsail High School – September 8, 5:30–6:30 PM

  • Heide Trask High School – September 10, 5:30–6:30 PM

These sessions are designed to give families the information they need to make the best choice for their student’s future. Whether planning to attend a four-year university or begin a career pathway, dual enrollment can provide an important head start.
