With the start of a new school year just around the corner, Pender County Schools invites families to attend upcoming open house events across the district. Open houses offer students and parents an opportunity to meet teachers, tour classrooms, receive important information, and get ready for a successful school year.
Traditional calendar schools will host their open houses in mid-August, just before the first day of school on August 25:
July 31 - Pender Early College (3-7pm)
Returning Students (3-5pm)
New Students (5-7pm)
August 20 - Middle School (4-6pm)
August 20 - Pender Innovative Learning Academy (4-6pm)
August 21 - Elementary School (4-6pm)
August 21 - High School (4-6pm)
Superintendent Dr. Brad Breedlove emphasized the value of open house events as a way to build positive connections between families and schools. “We encourage all families to attend their school’s open house,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, meet the educators who will be working with your child, and help students feel confident and ready for the year ahead.”
Families are encouraged to check with their child’s school for additional details about open house schedules or campus-specific instructions.
