PEP Wall of Fame 2025

BURGAW, NC — The Pender Education Partnership (PEP), in collaboration with the Pender County Board of Education, celebrated the 2025 class of the Pender County Wall of Fame with a ceremony held at the Dr. Katherine Herring Resource Center.

This year’s distinguished inductees include Honorable James H. Faison III, Kenneth I. Lanier, Jr., and Glorious S. Leaven—each recognized for their outstanding contributions to education, public service, and the Pender County community.

“These individuals represent the best of Pender County,” said Tammie Parris, President of PEP. “Their commitment to education, leadership, and service has left a lasting impact on countless lives. It’s an honor to preserve their legacies on the Wall of Fame.”

Superintendent Dr. Brad Breedlove praised the inductees during the ceremony, saying, “Their stories reflect the values we hold dear as a school district—integrity, excellence, and a deep belief in the potential of every student.”
