FAFSA

BURGAW, NC - Pender County Schools is committed to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education by providing resources and assistance for completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Beginning March 12th, the district will launch a FAFSA completion initiative aimed at helping students access crucial financial aid opportunities.

As part of this initiative, Pender County Schools will conduct regular drawings to reward students who have completed the FAFSA application. Every two weeks, eight lucky students district-wide will be randomly selected to receive $25 gift cards as a token of appreciation for their proactive approach to securing financial aid. The drawings will continue through April 26th, providing multiple opportunities for students to win.

Additionally, parents who attend FAFSA events will have the chance to participate in a drawing for $50 Visa gift cards. Two cards will be awarded at each of the two district-wide FAFSA events scheduled as follows:

  • -March 12th, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM: A district-wide FAFSA event will be held at Heide Trask High School.
  • -April 11th, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM: Another district-wide FAFSA event is scheduled at Topsail High School.

These events offer valuable opportunities for families to learn about the FAFSA application process, receive assistance in completing the form, and access information on available financial aid resources. By participating in these events and completing the FAFSA, students can unlock vital financial support to help fund their college education.

Pender County Schools encourages all eligible students and their families to take advantage of these opportunities to secure financial aid and pave the way for a brighter future. For more information about FAFSA events and resources, please visit myFUTURENC
