BURGAW, NC – Pender County Schools (PCS) is excited to announce its partnership with Tutor.com to offer no-cost online tutoring and homework assistance to students.
Pender County Schools has partnered with Tutor.com to provide online tutoring to select groups of students on the east side of the district. Pender County Schools is also working to address tutoring options at all schools throughout the district. Currently, PCS has been posting and hiring math tutors in the Rocky Point, Burgaw, and Pender feeder pattern schools as well, so that all students in need of additional support have these needs met.
In addition to the PCS-funded tutoring services, the district is working to ensure all of its Department of Defense (DoD)-connected students are aware of the Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families Program (Tutor.com/military). The program is funded by the DoD to provide online tutoring at no cost to eligible students of all ages in DoD civilian and military families.
