BURGAW, NC – Burgaw Middle School is pleased to announce the launch of a community-driven holiday gift drive. The initiative, titled "BMS Gives Back," aims to provide 1000 donated gifts to empower students to share the joy of giving with their families during the upcoming holiday season.
Recognizing the invaluable lesson that giving brings, Burgaw Middle School is calling upon the Burgaw community to contribute new or gently used small items suitable for gifting. The goal is to offer 3-5 gifts for each student at BMS, allowing them to personally select, wrap, and present these gifts to their loved ones.
This initiative provides an opportunity for our students to engage in the act of giving, fostering a sense of generosity and community spirit. Many students at BMS, despite their incredible potential, lack the means to give to their families during the holidays.
The requested items include:
- Mugs
- Small beauty products
- Small toys
- Dad gifts (excluding potentially hazardous items for safety reasons)
- Inspirational items for Christmas giving
Individuals interested in contributing are encouraged to drop off their donations at the designated collection point, Utopia Day Spa, located at 312F W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425. Donations will be accepted Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 7 PM and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM.
The deadline for donations is December 15th.
