BURGAW, NC - Pender County Schools officials are actively monitoring the path of Hurricane Idalia. According to the National Weather Service, Southeastern North Carolina is expected to experience a significant rainfall event from Wednesday, Aug. 30, extending into Thursday, Aug. 31.
