BURGAW, NC - In a unanimous vote, the Pender County Board of Education opted to pause the transition to a three-tiered bus schedule for elementary, middle, and high school students until the 2024-2025 school year. The vote took place during a special called meeting on June 19, 2023.
Based on this decision, the bell schedule for the 2023-2024 school year will not change. The previously established calendar will also not change.
In the coming months, Pender County Schools will work to gather additional input from stakeholders to further assemble a three-tier schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.
