BURGAW, NC - Pender County Schools, in partnership with the NC Department of Public Instruction and No Kid Hungry North Carolina, will help connect more area kids and teens to free summer meals programs by raising awareness about the program and making it easier for families to get to a summer meals site.
Meals will be available for pickup every Wednesday beginning June 21, 2023, and running through August 16, 2023. Pickup sites are as follows:
· Malpass Corner Elementary
· C.F. Pope Elementary
· Rocky Point Elementary
Meals may be picked up from 3-6 pm. Parents do not need to apply for the program to receive the summer meals, although a photo ID and completed registration form is required at pickup. The required form may be completed at this link http://bit.ly/3Cx9MCA

No Kid Hungry North Carolina is a partnership launched in 2011 by the national nonprofit Share Our Strength and other state leaders and is now based at UNC Chapel Hill.
