AINSLEY HEATH

ROCKY POINT, NC - Ainsley Heath, a senior at Heide Trask High School, has been named one of two recipients of the FloSports Track and Field Scholarship. Through a partnership with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

 “I plan to go to medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in sports medicine. This mixes my passion for healthcare and sports together.” Said Heath.

Throughout her high school career Ainsley has earned many accolades including All-Conference titles, multiple MVP distinctions across three sports and a medal-winning performance at the state level in indoor track. She placed at states in indoor track (1000m, 3rd) and last weekend at the spring state meet (800m, 2nd).

She doesn’t just excel on the field.

Ainsley has participated in the Science Olympiad, HOSA, and the National Honor Society all while pursuing her CAN certification. She also tallies countless volunteer hours in her community.

Ainsley will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study Biology in the fall.
