Congratulations to our Football champs!! Football finished a championship season with a 14-8 victory over CFM. Well done Pirates!! We also want to give a shout out to our softball team who ended their season in the semi-finals, but had an awesome season 5 to 2. Congratulations Pirates on a great season!


Ms. Bafunno’s US History classes participated in the re-enactment of
the Battle of Bunker Hill, learning valuable lessons about holding the
high ground and saving ammo with the command “don’t shoot ‘til you see
the whites of their eyes”!

Thank you to @Mike Waddell, Clarinet and Jazz Studies Professor from UNCW, who came to teach a masterclass to 7th and 8th grade clarinet and saxophone players today.

As Ms. Bafunno’s World Geography students finished up their study of the USA with a road trip project, some took an extra credit opportunity to bring in a food sample from their trip! We got to sample corn bread, pecan pie, cupcakes, Oreos, Fritos, and Sweet Tea!

Operation Military Kids Club, is having a Non-Runners Run on Saturday at 10am from Faith Harbor Church to the Salty Turtle in Surf City. It is a half mile run with a donut stop in the middle. The Run is OMKC’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds go towards funding club activities, service projects, and our Freedom Family Festival in April to celebrate the Month of the Military Child.

Congratulations to our Student Citizens of the Month for September! These students were recognized by their teachers for exhibiting the characteristic of Responsibility. They enjoyed lunch last Friday from Hampstead @dominos.



October 7th was manufacturing day so we celebrated by having guest speakers from Southern Industrial Constructors & Corning share with students. Students learned about multiple careers in the construction industry.They also learned how glass is made.
