Good evening TMS families- Due to the threat of severe weather this evening, we are going to postpone tonight's Family Movie Night at the THS student parking lot. We will communicate in the near future the date of the rescheduled movie night for our families. Have a great 3 day weekend,
TMS and TAES collaborate together for book buddies every Friday for their club day. Mrs. Baer's book buddy club and 3rd graders from Mrs. Krieger's class enjoy spending this time together reading and building relationships.
TMS 5th graders had their first book tasting to prepare them for the novel "Thunder Rolling in the Mountains".

The TMS Color Run is happening right now. Students are enjoying the event today! There is still time to come watch & support your student in the color run. Pledges will stay open until throughout the weekend. Thank you to our PTO, familes and community for your support!
CTE teachers, Mrs. Day, Mrs. Schlegel and Ms. Gleason took 30 eighth grade CTE students to the design lab at NC State yesterday. It was a great trip! Students toured campus and worked through a design project with NC state staff! TMS students saw the studio for architecture students, first year design students creating with paper, industrial design classrooms and studios, makerspaces and the wood design shop. Teachers overheard multiple students say "I want to go to school here!"
1st Quarter PBIS reward is just around the corner. We would like to treat our deserving "Pirates" to a small treat as they receive their pirate passport and sticker.

Topsail Middle School is excited to be participating in a Booster Color Run Fundraiser Event hosted by the PTO! You can get started today
by registering at MYBOOSTER.com to learn more, share the event, and begin getting pledges. Our school is hoping to use the money raised to purchase Clear Touch Boards and to make some improvements to our classrooms and outdoor Spaces at TMS!
For every donation of $30, students will earn tickets toward some amazing raffle prizes like Apple Airpods, Stanely mugs, JBL wireless speakers and more. Our Color Run will be held on the front softball field on Friday, October 13th. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend and cheer on their students.
