Topsail High School Athletics Department is proud to announce the hiring of a new Head Wrestling Coach - Coach Jack Darling. Coach Darling is a former Four (4) Time State Champion Wrestler in High School in Massachusetts. Coach Darling was also a Three (3) Time National High School Coaches Association All-American. After an Exemplary High School Wrestling Career, Coach Darling competed as a Division I wrestler in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) at Virginia Tech University. We are extremely excited to see the high level of technical wrestling knowledge that Coach Jack Darling’s experience as a former 4X State Champion, 3X All-American, and ACC Wrestler at Virginia Tech will provide for our Pirates Wrestling student-athletes!

Our Topsail High School Athletic Booster Club launched our Rival Raffle fundraiser! We are competing against Ashley High School's Athletic Booster Club to see which school can raise the most funds. The Athletic Director of the losing team will have to wear the rival school's spirit wear at the football game on the 25th. Raffle tickets are available for purchase through Raffle Creator, with a link provided below. We have also provided a graphic for social media that has a QR code. Ticket prices are as follows: $10 for one ticket $20 for three tickets $100 for 30 tickets $500 for 1,000 tickets Please encourage your friends and their families to participate. We will hold our THS Wrestling Hydration Testing on Wednesday, Oct. 16th and Wednesday, Oct. 23rd in the Main Gym from 4:00 to 5:30 PM each day. All student-athletes who plan to participate in our THS Wrestling program this year must attend one of these two Hydration Testing sessions.

Supporting the West - Pender EMS and Fire are collecting donations to be delivered to our neighbors in Western NC who have suffered from the kind of historic flooding that we know all too well. They are making a delivery this Wednesday. Just as the state mobilized to help us six years ago, we want to mobilize to help now. We are collecting water, nonperishable food items, personal hygiene items, and cleaning supplies on Monday and Tuesday of this week and these items will be delivered to the Pender County EMS and Fire on Tuesday afternoon. We will also collect these items at our THS Athletics events this week to be delivered to our friends in Western North Carolina. #NCSTRONG

NHS, Key Club, Cheer, Volleyball, Baseball, and more came together to unload a tractor-trailer full of pumpkins with pirate-worthy teamwork! 🏴‍☠️🍂 HUMC is incredibly thankful for all their help, and our students earned some valuable community service hours along the way! 💪
