TAES celebrates Read Across America on March 2nd and 3rd with an optional activity. On Thursday, wear something that represents a place in the US that you have visited or wear your best tourist outfit. On Friday rest up from your "travels" by wearing your PJs.

Mark your calendars - The TAES Spring Concert featuring Kindergarten and 1st grade will be on Thursday, April 20 at 6:00 in the gym. Everyone is welcome!!
Mrs. Payne is collecting some items to be used for the Spring Concert! She needs: empty paper towel rolls, aluminum foil, pipe cleaners, rice, dried beans.

Military Families:
OMKC is preparing for the Month of the Military Child in April and we need your help. If you have not yet registered your child for the club (which meets after school on the 3rd Friday of each month), please go to: http://operationmilitarykidsclubs.com. Every military kid registered with OMKC by March 1st will be getting a star to represent them at their school during the month of April as we recognize all the military kids who make our schools shine. Then, in place of club at the school in April, we will be hosting the Freedom Family Fest at Kiwanis Park on April 30th from 1-4pm, for all our military kids and their families! Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the fun!

Mark your calendars now for Glow Bash on February 24th from 5-7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at https://tes.memberhub.com/store and are for your family. Our book fair will be open from 5-6:30pm during our Glow Bash.
Silent Auction bidding begins tomorrow and will continue through 7pm at Glow Bash. Items are on display and available for bidding in the school lobby. Be sure to check them out! We have some amazing items! Keep a check on our Facebook page and Instagram for more details about each item.

A Message from Pender County Schools
Hello TAES & TMS Families,
We are in desperate need of sub bus drivers. When drivers are out for various reasons, we do not have anyone who can drive for them. Due to the shortage, we have to run additional double routes as well as some triple routes to cover buses. If you know of anyone willing to drive a bus daily or from time to time, please email mary_seigler@pender.k12.nc.us
If, by chance, we find a sub driver who can run the routes on time, we will update families via email only. We will not send a phone call message, so please monitor email for updates to route 229.
2/16 Bus 229 (formerly 281) 1st route am will run about 1 hour late in the morning. Students will be picked up by bus 218.
