In celebration of completing the first module for Wit and Wisdom, students in 5th grade built travois, made teepees, carved an arrowhead out of soap, had snacks (dried fruit, jerky, popcorn) and played a Nez Perce pinecone toss game to celebrate the end of our module on Thunder Rolling in the Mountains.

Families across the state were invited to nominate their child’s school for the “Tell Us Something Good” AWARD sponsored by the Exceptional Children's Assistance Center (ECAC). Kindergarten read "Rap a Tap Tap: Here's Bojangles-Think of That!" as a part of the Wit and Wisdom curriculum. Mrs. Cantrell's class had a special visitor from a tap teacher and tap student to teach them basic steps in tap. Mrs. Cantrell even found a way to make homemade tap shoes!
Fourth grade is studying poetry through the Wit and Wisdom curriculum. Mrs. Bagwell's (Ms. George student teacher) class held a poetry slam today to read aloud the fantastic poems that they composed. Mrs. Humphrey's first grade class made a perfect audience. Snacks and drinks were provided and fun was had by all!
Our very own Stingray, Cage Baker, will be selling 3D printed Stingrays at this event. He will be donating a portion of his proceeds back to the school. Please go and support him!
