This week we’re recognizing Ms. Talia England, Speech Language Pathologist at South Topsail Elementary School.
Ms. England is a consistent source of support for both students and staff. She works closely with her teams to provide resources, share strategies, and help others better support student communication. Whether she’s creating materials, leading trainings, or sharing helpful information, she is always willing to step in and help.
She is also known for her positive and friendly approach. She takes time to connect with others, greet people each day, and help create a welcoming environment in the school. Her presence makes a difference in the day-to-day experience for those around her.

South Topsail Elementary just earned the Heart of Gold Top 25 award for the AHA Kids Heart Challenge 🥇 💛 We are so proud of our students for showing big hearts and healthy habits. Fifth grade teachers. What can we say? You helped us through our last year at elementary school and you made sure we were ready for middle school. Thank you for making school so much fun and always helping us when we needed it (even if we didn’t know we did).
Student Services Support Team! The name says it all. These people support us by working hard to make sure each student gets the support they need to be successful at STE. Thank you!
STE is so lucky to have the best PTO in Pender County. You do so much more than support our school! You run fundraisers to help build things our school needs and you host fun events. Even though you work behind the scenes, we know what you do for STE and we appreciate all of your hard work and dedication.
They may not be “teachers” but we sure learn a lot from our social worker and SRO! They keep us safe and help us be our best.
At South Topsail it’s teacher appreciation week. Let's take a minute to recognize our amazing 4th grade teaching staff. They always make sure the students are safe and are okay. #theydeservetheircoffee. ☕ ☕
We wouldn’t even have South Topsail if it wasn’t for EC teachers. They do so much that you might not even realize from reading and math to speech and OT. #thankyou EC teachers you deserve this 🙏🙏🙏
We want to shout it from the rooftops! Our third grade teachers are the best of the best! They have SO much to do to get us ready for our first EOGs! Thank you for all of your hard work!

This week is teacher appreciation week, but our teachers couldn’t do their jobs without the amazing people in the front office. They are the ones who help us when we are sick or injured, make sure that report cards can be printed, and help direct us where we need to go! Thank you!
What’s a bus drivers least favorite music? TRAFFIC JAMS! Thank you to all of our bus drivers for getting us to and from school safely, even when the traffic is crazy! We appreciate you!
Sometimes teachers have to be out, and when they are substitute teachers are the superheroes! Thank you to all the subs who keep things going when our teachers are sick.
Does your child have medication at school? Please make arrangements to pick everything up by Friday, May 29.
We couldn’t learn every day if we were hungry. The cafeteria makes sure we have a yummy breakfast and lunch! Also, the custodians at STE keep our building safe and clean. Thank you for making our environment so nice!
Meet our second grade teachers, Mrs. Willis, Mrs. Donovan, Ms. Hall, Ms. Baxter, and Ms. Register. They keep learning fun and make sure we are ready for third grade! Thank you for all you do!
Teacher appreciation continues all week! Next up is our first grade team. Thank you for helping us learn to read, add, and subtract. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to read all about our favorite things, like animals.
