📢 Before-School Care Coming for 2025-26!
Starting this August, PCS will shift to a three-tier bell schedule to improve transportation and reduce delays. To support families impacted by these changes, before-school care will be offered for students at the Topsail and Surf City campuses.
🕒 New Bell Schedule Times:
✔ High School: 7:10 AM – 2:05 PM
✔ Elementary: 7:55 AM – 2:50 PM
✔ Middle: 8:40 AM – 3:35 PM

🎨 8th Grade Advanced Art Mural Project 🎨 Each year, our 8th Grade Advanced Art students leave their mark at Surf City Middle School with a student-designed mural! This year’s design was created by Rikky Skrypek, Josephine North, and Evelyn Suh. The design was selected after a proposal process where students submitted original sketches and plans to the school administration for approval. ✅✏️ Now proudly displayed outside the cafeteria, their mural brings color, creativity, and school spirit to one of the most visible areas in the building. 🌊🦈

We had a Family Survivor Watch Party last night for episode 1 of Survivor Surf City! Great food, intensely competitive challenges, and an awesome first episode all made for a fun-filled evening! Thanks to all the kids and families for coming out and playing hard. We can't wait to start season 2 next year!

An Internet outage is currently impacting Topsail and Surf City Schools, potentially affecting both Internet and phone lines at these locations. Four County Electric has confirmed that the issue stems from a fiber line that was cut. At this time, there is no estimated time for restoration. We are actively working with Four County Electric to monitor the situation and will post updates on our website and social media channels as soon as more information becomes available.

Mrs Council's Theater Arts classes did an amazing job this year!

Our 7th graders took on a fun and creative STEM project yesterday: build the tallest tower that could hold a single marshmallow. Students showed incredible teamwork, problem-solving, and determination. While everyone did an amazing job—and followed the important rule of not eating the marshmallows until the end—our assistant principal, Mr. Perkins, may have bent the rules a bit… (see pic for evidence). Shout-out to our overall winners: Dexter, Abel, and Conner, whose impressive tower reached a whopping 30 inches tall. Way to go! Special thanks to all of our families who donated materials so our students could complete this fun and memorable project. We couldn’t have done it without your support.
