Mrs. Livesey's first grade class is working on some typing practice this week. These first graders have been working hard on their magical snowman stories and will start to publish them by learning to type, but first, they practice finding the letters on the keyboard.

Come join the monthly PTA meeting this Thursday. We are so thankful for our supportive PTA at SCE. They will also have door prizes with the biggest prize being an Amazon gift card!

It's Cereal Drive time! Our goal is to help Share the Table with cereal box donations through Valentine's Day. If you'd like to support this great cause, we'll gladly accept any unopened cereal box donations. We will create a cereal box domino as we have done in years past.

Mrs. McDonald's Kindergarten class had fun trying to learn how to blow a bubble with bubble gum. They learned it will take a lot of practice. Mr. Barras was the winner!

Third grade classes had a wonderful visit from the Rotary Club today. They presented and gifted each kid with a personal student dictionary. Students were very excited at all that’s inside-especially the sign language!

Congratulations to Mrs. Full's Kindergarten class. They're the most recent winner of the Golden Trash Can award. Mr. Jeff said that they work hard each day to make sure their floors are picked up and their supplies are in the correct areas. Great work kiddos!

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day but we appreciate those who protect and serve every day. Our school is thankful for our SRO, Officer Wyke. He makes sure that students, teachers and staff at SCE & SCM are safe. Thank you for all you do for us in our school community.

Today, Mrs. Livesey's first graders are revisiting their Classroom Promises. Each group worked on an area of expectations to come up with promises for the second half of the school year. They also decided that promises come from the heart so they are not calling them rules.
