Quick reminder that tomorrow is the second instrument reservation night at Surf City Middle School. The meeting will be in the SCM cafeteria from 6pm - 7pm. All information about band class and how to get an instrument will be handed out at this meeting. If you missed the first meeting, please plan to attend tomorrow! Mrs. Stewart's 3rd graders made some really great positive affirmation posters. Each student wrote a compliment or something that is special about their classmates. After they passed them out to each student, they created a poster to remind themselves how much they are loved and appreciated.💙💚
The End of Year benchmark window is April 22-May 2. All students K-5 participate in EOY Benchmarks. Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd complete mClass Reading and STAR Math. 4th and 5th will complete STAR Reading and STAR Math.

Mr. Bailey fulfilled his promise that the top fundraising students in each class from the Booster Fun Run, would get to turn him into a human ice cream sundae! Students in Mrs. Forbis’ 2nd grade class have spent the past few weeks learning about and observing the life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly. They have watched as their tiny caterpillars grew, went into their chrysalis, and emerged as beautiful orange butterflies. Today they were able to release all six of their butterflies and they cheered as they watched them fly away.
