First graders have been busy learning some new skills this week!
In ELA, students have been learning all about nouns and verbs. They’ve been sorting common and proper nouns and having fun practicing verbs in both the present and past tense.
In Math, students have been working on a new strategy called counting on to help them solve addition problems more quickly. They’ve been practicing with games and working with partners to build their confidence and become more efficient mathematicians.
We’re proud of all the hard work our first graders are putting in!
