Our school library was definitely not quiet in January — and for the best reason ever!

The Media Center hosted a high-energy celebration for K–5 students who completed their reading logs, and wow… our Ram readers showed UP. This party was part of our countywide goal of reaching 1,000,000 total reading minutes this school year. Our Rocky Point students are helping make that happen one page at a time. The room was filled with excited chatter, laughter, and the joyful sounds of celebration as students enjoyed cupcakes, pizza, and LOTS of noisemakers.

The Media Specialist and students were all smiles as readers were recognized for their hard work, consistency, and love of books. It was a reminder that reading isn’t just an assignment — it’s an achievement worth celebrating.

We are so proud of our readers and the reading culture growing in our school. Keep logging those minutes — the next celebration will be coming soon.
