Our fourth grade Rams recently wrapped up Wit and Wisdom Module One with a celebration of learning and achievement! Throughout this module, they explored the theme of having a great heart—learning what it means to be kind, healthy, and a positive influence on others.

To showcase their learning, students completed a multi-paragraph writing task that included an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. They also built deeper understanding of figurative and literal language through hands-on, creative projects.

In art and science, students expressed their understanding of love through color as they painted figurative hearts. Then, they shifted from the figurative to the literal by constructing detailed models of the human heart. Each student built and labeled the parts—like the atria, ventricles, and valves—while learning how the heart works to keep our bodies healthy and strong.

This cross-curricular experience blended reading, writing, art, and science, helping students strengthen their understanding of figurative and literal meanings while celebrating their hard work and growth. We are so proud of our young scholars and their great hearts!
