Our Kindergarten Rams have been exploring reading and thinking through Wit & Wisdom lessons and Geode book time. In small groups, students enjoy short, knowledge-rich books that connect to classroom learning, helping them practice early reading skills while discovering new ideas. During Think-Pair-Share and the Focus Question Task, our little Rams talk about stories with classmates and answer “big questions,” building confidence, curiosity, and deeper thinking.
This month, our students also explored their five senses as part of the Wit & Wisdom curriculum. They learned how sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste connect to daily experiences and the stories they read in class, strengthening observation and comprehension skills.
To make learning even more hands-on, the Rams took their exploration outdoors. Surrounded by nature, they noticed the sounds of birds, the feel of grass, the smell of flowers, and more. Their discoveries were captured through drawings and discussions, combining creativity with academic learning and helping students connect classroom studies to the world around them.
