3rd Grade Ceremony

What a journey it’s been this year for our students and staff at Rocky Point! We are PROUD of all of our Rams but want to highlight our third graders today. The transition from 2nd to 3rd grade is a big leap — students go from learning to read to reading to learn, all while developing greater independence and responsibility. We are incredibly proud of our 3rd graders for not only rising to the challenge but truly thriving!

This month, they wrapped up their reading curriculum with enthusiasm and purpose. For their final Wit and Wisdom module, each student chose an artist they studied earlier in the year and created both a written piece and a visual presentation. Their creativity and critical thinking really shined as they shared their projects with the class!

On top of their reading accomplishments, our students have been hard at work preparing for the End-of-Grade (EOG) assessments. The growth we’ve seen from the start of the year has been amazing — academically, socially, and emotionally.

We’re so excited to celebrate all of their hard work and success at their awards ceremony held on Wednesday, followed by some well-deserved classroom celebrations. Way to go, 3rd grade — you’ve come so far, and we can’t wait to see where you’ll go next!
