Field Trip

Earlier in April, our 4th grade students had an exciting opportunity to visit the Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. The field trip brought science to life as students explored exhibits on dinosaurs, fossils, rocks, minerals, and gems. This hands-on experience helped reinforce NC Science Standard 4.E.2.2, as students observed the physical properties of various rocks and minerals and learned how their characteristics relate to their formation.

In addition to studying Earth’s history, students engaged with interactive stations where they examined animal furs, skins, and skeletons under microscopes. These activities sparked curiosity and deepened their understanding of the natural world through the lens of observation and scientific tools.

It was an unforgettable day of discovery, curiosity, and connection to the natural sciences!
