Good afternoon Rocky Point Families,

Open House is tomorrow, Thursday, August 24 and we are excited to welcome students back for the 23-24 school year.  Our doors will open for Kindergarten students and families only from 3:00 - 4:00pm.  Students and families in Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to come meet their child’s teacher between 4:00 - 6:00pm.  When you arrive on campus, we are asking that you check in at one of our three tables out front to find out your child’s teacher.  You will receive a checklist on a blue sheet of paper, then will enter the building through the main entrance. Please make sure to confirm with your child’s teacher how your child will be getting to and from school each day.  

At Open House, you will receive:   

- Classroom Teacher Information

- Title 1 Compact, Title 1 Family Engagement Policy

- Bus Information & “Here Comes the Bus” App information

- Wit and Wisdom parent letter

You will also have the opportunity to:

- Complete the Pre-K through 2nd grade Bus Ridership Form

- Complete our Fall Parent Survey

- Complete mandatory BOY Application Updates & Chromebook Agreement Form

- To view the core texts for Module 1 of our Wit and Wisdom ELA curriculum and student workbooks for Module 1 of Eureka Math Squared, our new Math curriculum

In our main foyer, you will find the following tables and individuals for you to visit:

  • Our PTO, led by Ms. Meredith Nance where you can sign up to be a part of our PTO this year and get a free treat.

  • Our PACES program director, Mrs. Jessica Roman, where you can sign up for our PACES afterschool program

  • Coastal Horizons representatives for you to sign up for the Incredible Years program, hosted by RPES

  • Boy Scout representative for you to sign up your child for boy scouts

  • Girl Scout representative for you to sign up your child for girl scout

There will also be an opportunity to have your child’s picture taken and to purchase a snow cone as proceeds will come back to our PTO.  Pictures will cost $7.50 and will be located in the guidance office. Snow cone prices will range from $3.00 - $5.00 dependent on the size purchased and will be located outside of the main entrance of the school.
