Second grade students have been busy learning, exploring, and growing this quarter! In math, students have been building their understanding of measurement, counting collections, and place value. They are developing strong number sense and learning to explain their mathematical thinking.
In reading and writing, students are learning how to use text evidence to support their ideas. They are practicing going back to the text, finding important details, and using those details to strengthen their written responses.
In science, students have been investigating the impact of heat. Through hands-on learning and observation, they are exploring how heat can change materials.
It has been an exciting quarter filled with curiosity, collaboration, and lots of learning. We are proud of all the hard work our second graders are doing!
