Our third graders have been busy learning, creating, and putting their knowledge into action as they explored everything from Earth's amazing features to the art of measurement!
This week students in Ms. Aluise and Mrs. Giarrusso's classes planned, designed, and created their very own landforms and bodies of water projects. Working together they used their creativity and teamwork to bring their ideas to life while showing what they learned about Earth's landforms and bodies of water. Their projects were a wonderful reflection of their curiosity, collaboration, and creativity!
Meanwhile, in Ms. Krull's class, students were getting hands-on with measurement and capacity. Our 3rd graders are learning all about customary measurement—one cup, pint, quart, gallon, and inch at a time! Students had the opportunity to measure around the room and measure a variety of objects using inches. They worked to round to the nearest inch. Students also learned about liquid measurement and explored the relationship between cups, pints, quarts, and gallons by creating their very own Gallon Man and Big G posters! What a fun way to make math meaningful and memorable!
We love seeing our third grade leaders learn by doing and create with purpose while shining in their own unique ways!
