Our fourth graders have been busy exploring exciting topics across all subjects! In science, students are experimenting with how crabs communicate, sparking curiosity and great conversations about animal behavior and the fascinating ways creatures interact.
In reading, students are diving into nonfiction texts to learn about the human heart, while also sharpening their understanding of figurative versus literal language in literature. This dual focus is helping them become more thoughtful and analytical readers.
Math has been all about multi-digit addition and subtraction with regrouping. Through practice and perseverance, students are building both confidence and accuracy when working with larger numbers.
Over in social studies, students are developing their map skills—learning how to read various types of maps and use them to better understand our world.
It’s been a week full of discovery, growth, and hands-on learning in fourth grade!
