EOG Proctors Needed
Hello Parents, Guardians, and Community Members!
We are in need of volunteers to serve as proctors during our upcoming End-of-Grade testing sessions. Your support is essential in helping us maintain a focused and secure testing environment for our students.
Testing Dates: May 20, 22, and 28
Time Commitment: 8:00-11:00 (you do not have to volunteer for each day)
No prior experience is necessary—training will be provided!

Pender High School will be hosting their end of the year FCA event on May 12th from 6-8pm. All middle school students are welcome to attend. Please see flyer attached.

3rd–7th Grade Awards Celebration
We’re excited to honor our students during our upcoming Awards Celebration for 3rd through 7th grade! This is an invite-only event. Students receiving an award should have brought home an invitation last week.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher. We look forward to celebrating our Hornets’ hard work and achievements!
Chromebook Update for Families
Starting Friday, May 16, all student Chromebooks will remain at school for the rest of the year. Teachers will be collecting and returning devices to the media center.
As part of this process:
Devices will be checked for damages and cleaned.
Chargers must be returned with each Chromebook.
If a charger is missing, families will receive a notice from our media coordinator, Mrs. Hounshel, with the option to replace it or pay the $25 replacement fee.

Field Day Volunteers Needed
We’re excited to host our Field Day on May 30th from 8AM to 2:45 PM at the Penderlea Athletic Fields, and we need your help to make it a fun and smooth event for our students!
We’re looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks!
Volunteers can be guardians, older siblings, parents, grandparents, or high schoolers in the need of volunteer hours. Whether you can help for a couple hours or stay the whole time, we truly appreciate your support. Please note that all non-PCS students or staff, must have a district background check before volunteering.
