After wrapping up Module 3, which focused on the American Revolution, 4th-grade students took an exciting field trip to Moore's Creek National Battlefield as part of our module on the American Revolution in Wit and Wisdom. This immersive experience allowed them to step back in time and explore the pivotal events that shaped our nation. Guided by knowledgeable park rangers, students learned about the significance of the Battle of Moore's Creek and its impact on the revolutionary struggle. They engaged in hands-on activities, such as examining historical artifacts and reenacting key moments from the battle, which deepened their understanding of the sacrifices made for independence. By connecting classroom lessons to real-world history, the field trip enriched their appreciation for the American Revolution and inspired a sense of patriotism and curiosity about our nation's past.
As students wrapped up Module 6 in Eureka Squared Math, they eagerly reflected on their journey through the world of geometry. Throughout the module, they explored various geometric concepts, including shapes, angles, and symmetry, engaging in hands-on activities that brought these ideas to life. Students practiced identifying and classifying two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures, while also discovering how geometry is present in their everyday lives.
