As the Town of Burgaw celebrates its 150th anniversary, Pender High School is proud to take part in this historic milestone by contributing artifacts to the town’s official time capsule, set to be opened 50 years from now.
To honor both the community’s history and the school’s own legacy, Pender High School selected items that capture the spirit, traditions, and daily life of its students. Among the contributions are yearbooks spanning several decades and a Pender High football jersey. Rounding out the collection are notes from Math 171, representing the academic dedication and hard work of today’s students.
This celebration carries a special significance, as Pender High School is preparing to mark its own 50th anniversary. Sharing this moment with Burgaw’s 150th celebration creates a unique connection between the school and the community that supports it.
