Masonry II students at Pender High School recently put their skills to practical use by assisting in the installation of new student whiteboards in Mr. Ballard’s math classroom. This task, which required precision and attention to detail, offered the students an excellent opportunity to apply their workshop knowledge to a real-world setting.
Guided by Mr. Dixon, the students measured and leveled the boards to ensure they were perfectly aligned, demonstrating their growing proficiency in masonry techniques. The new whiteboards will be a valuable resource during math lessons, providing a space for students to work through problems and collaborate more effectively.
This project not only enhanced the learning environment in Mr. Ballard’s classroom but also gave the Masonry II students a chance to showcase their abilities in a meaningful way. Their contribution highlights the practical nature of their education, where classroom skills are directly applied to projects that benefit the entire school community.
