💜 April is the Month of the Military Child 💜
At North Topsail Elementary, we are proud to honor and celebrate the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of our military-connected students. With 160 military children in our school community, their impact is felt every single day.
Military children face unique challenges. Frequent moves, new schools, and time apart from loved ones, yet they continue to show courage, adaptability, and kindness in all they do.
Throughout the month of April, we recognize and appreciate these incredible students for their service and sacrifice alongside their families. 💜
Thank you, military children, for your strength and for being such an important part of our NTE family!

Students explored how scientists identify different species by using dichotomous keys and field guides, just like real marine biologists. Through these activities, they learned to observe key characteristics, such as shell shape, size, and patterns, to identify different types of sea turtles accurately.
Who knew science could feel like solving a mystery? 🔍🐢 #MarineCSI #FutureScientists #STEMlearning #SeaTurtles #onepender

They dove into the fascinating world of jellyfish, learning all about these incredible ocean creatures!
And here’s a fun fact they loved…
Did you know a group of jellyfish is called??
A smack?! 😂
We are so thankful for opportunities like this that bring science to life for our students! 🐙💙

We are so proud of our students for practicing empathy, showing compassion, and helping make NTE a place where everyone feels valued and cared for.

Don’t forget to send your student to school ready to smile—this is a great opportunity to capture those bright springtime photos! 🌸
We can’t wait to see all those smiling faces!

This is a reminder that ALL students at NTE receive FREE breakfast and lunch every day! 🥞🍎
Take one thing off your plate and let us help keep your child fueled and ready to learn! No sign-up needed, just show up and enjoy.

We love seeing our students so actively involved and excited about math! #FutureReady #EngagedLearning #MathInAction #onepender

In their nomination, the student reflected on how they look back on 4th grade as a time when school felt easier and enjoyable. They remembered Ms. Fulbright’s kindness and the way she made learning fun while still setting clear expectations.
Thank you, Ms. Fulbright, for the difference you’ve made for students at North Topsail Elementary. 💛

Our 5th graders wrapped up their Biome Box projects as part of learning standard LS.5.2: understanding the interdependence of plants and animals within their ecosystem! 🌎🌿 Students explored different biomes and showed how living things rely on one another to survive. Their creativity and hard work really brought these ecosystems to life! Great job, 5th grade! 👏📦
