We are having an absolute blast celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week as we take it back to the 90’s! Our staff is showing up in the best way—rocking neon colors, throwback outfits, and reliving their younger days with so much energy and excitement. The building is full of fun, laughter, and vibrant vibes that make MCE such a special place to be.

🏃‍♀️🦅 Our Eagles Are Going the Distance! 🦅🏃‍♂️ Today, our Eagles took on a 5K practice—and what a success it was! 🎉 Students pushed themselves, stayed determined, and discovered just how far they can go. 💪 This was amazing preparation for the upcoming 5K with Girls on the Run and STRIDE, and we couldn’t be more proud of their effort and perseverance! ⚾✨ Full Circle Learning at MCE! ✨⚾ Our 4th grade students had an unforgettable, full-circle moment today! After completing their Arts & Letters module and diving into readings about baseball, we brought learning to life in the best way possible 🙌 We were excited to welcome the Heide Trask Senior High School baseball team to campus! 🧢⚾ Students had the chance to head outside, practice their skills, and ask thoughtful questions about the game and being a student-athlete. Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Pender High School seniors back to the halls of Malpass Corner Elementary. For many, it was a meaningful return to where their journey first began. We were honored to celebrate them and cheer them on as they prepare to take the next exciting step in their lives.

Field Day was an incredible success at MCE! Our Eagles had an amazing time and gave their all from start to finish. A big congratulations to Mrs. U. Jones’ 5th grade class for taking home the Tug of War Championship! We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Robinson family for their generous donation of ice cream for every student—what a special treat! Our community truly showed up and shined bright, and we are so grateful for the continued support of our MCE families.
