It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces at Open House, and we were equally thrilled to welcome so many new Eagles to the MCE family! The building was filled with excitement, smiles, and lots of Eagle energy. We cannot wait to welcome our students back on Monday and officially begin an amazing school year!
As we get ready for the first day, I want to share a few important reminders from our Parent Information Sessions for anyone who was unable to attend:
🚌 Bus Transportation
Students in Pre-K through 2nd grade must have an adult present at the bus stop when boarding and getting off the bus.
Please also be patient with our buses during the first two weeks of school. It takes time to work out the kinks in routes and adjust arrival and drop-off times. Our number one priority is getting every Eagle to and from school safely. We appreciate your patience and understanding as transportation routines are established.

If your child needs a transportation change, please follow the procedures outlined below. Following the proper process helps us ensure that every student gets home safely and goes to the correct location.

Our doors open and the first bell rings at 7:20 AM. Students are considered tardy after 7:45 AM. Any student arriving after 7:45 AM must be signed in by an adult in the front office.

You should always write a letter to the homeroom teacher and last please call the front office at 910-283-5889.

At Malpass Corner Elementary School, 180 meal bags were handed out today—and across the program, a total of 13,944 meals were distributed! That brings our summer total to an amazing 169,768 meals served. 🥪🥛🍊
A huge thank-you to the dedicated staff members and volunteers who continue to make this program possible! 💙
📅 Next week is the final week of summer meal distribution, so be sure to stop by!
