On Wednesday November 16th, Ms. Samara Wright was recognized by Sergeant Kittlaus of the PCSO as the first recipient of the Pender County Sheriff's Office "Challenge Coin Award". Ms. Wright was presented the award for placing a priority on the wellbeing of others, being courageous enough to come forward and help secure assistance for a person in need and helping to foster an atmosphere of caring by her everyday example.
The Pender County Sheriff's Office "Challenge Coin Award" is presented to someone that demonstrates exceptional character, values and conduct while furthering the mission of the Pender County Sheriff's Office and demonstrating a true heart for service.
