Our students had a great time at Special Olympics today! Marquey won gold in the long jump, 100 meter dash and softball throw. Izzy won gold in the 50 meter walk and participant in the softball throw. Great job!
CFMS CIS Robotics team took 1st place at the county robotics competition for the second year in a row! They out scored 3 other teams during the competition, all the while maintaining the gracious professionalism that FIRST Robotics looks to instill in it's participants, living up to their team name The GOATS!

It was a beautiful day for the Grizzly Color Run today. The students really had an awesome time participating and enjoyed going through all the color stations.
Olivia was recognized last night by the Pender County Arts Council for her artwork. She submitted artwork for the Spring Fest T-shirt contest. Congratulations Olivia.
Today is National School Librarian Day. We are so thankful Ms. Sova has joined. The excitement she brings to the media center and the position has truly been amazing. Thank you Ms. Sova.

Pender County Health Department has been on campus the last two days teaching the "Catch My Breath" program. This program is an initiative to educate youth about the dangers of vaping. We would like to thank the health department for taking on this initiative.
Ms. Ferrentino used the game of Capture the Flag to review for a probability test in 7th grade math. The level of engagement and excitement was amazing as students competitively displayed their learning and knowledge. Great job Grizzlies!
