✨TEACHER TUESDAY✨Mr. Paul Elmore teaches 8th grade and Math I at Cape Fear Middle School. Now in his 12th year of teaching, he is known for helping students feel more confident in math. Families and staff say he has a way of keeping students’ attention and breaking down concepts so they make sense. His goal is for students not only to understand the material but also to apply what they’ve learned.
What stands out most about Mr. Elmore is his reliability. He’s willing to help whenever he’s needed—before school, during the day, or after dismissal. Staff often refer to him as “Mr. Dependable” because they know they can count on him.
Recently, a teacher at CFMS had a flat tire during a heavy rainstorm. Mr. Elmore went outside and helped change the tire, giving up his own time to make sure the staff member was safe and able to leave. It’s one example of the way he consistently steps in for others.

Our 8th Grade Cape Fear Grizzlies 🐻 visited Fort Fisher State Historic Site on Friday and got an up-close look at one of North Carolina's most important Civil War landmarks. 🏛️
Students explored artifacts in the recently renovated museum 🏺, walked the remaining earthworks to see period cannons up close 💣, and witnessed a live-action demonstration of a Civil War–era rifle.
Thanks to all families for your support 🙏—these hands-on experiences bring the history we teach to life! ✨📖

Our afterschool program is buzzing with excitement this week! Our Grizzlies are diving into the National Inventors Hall of Fame's Circuit Sculptures project, and the results are incredible!
In this week's afterschool sessions, students have been crafting clay sculptures and learning to embed LED lights and motors to make their creations glow and spin. It's the perfect blend of art, engineering, and hands-on fun! 💡⚡
