Second grade learned about the sun’s light and how it impacts our Earth. Students spent Monday and Tuesday learning how to create a structure to shade cows from the Sun’s light and heat. They then flipped the script on Wednesday and Thursday to find a way to warm up “Chill City” a town that is surrounded by mountains and gets no direct sunlight. Students had to use different materials to bring light to the frozen town!



Due to the threat of severe weather in the area, all Pender County Schools after school activities on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 have been canceled. #PCSPride


CFE parents and guardians, due to the approaching high winds and severe thunderstorms we have made the decision to cancel all after school activities. PACES after school program has been cancelled as well. Be safe in your travels.

HOP (Healthy Opportunities Pilot) is a program designed to provide nonmedical help and assistance related to food, housing, transportation, and other physical and mental provisions to high-needs Medicaid individuals and families. The plan understands healthy food, productive play as well as safe housing and transportation are vital to the over-all health of a child and family.
The Incredible Years - a weekly program that provides families with a connection to their school and teachers to work together to help with childhood behavior in ages 6 - 12. It promotes social, emotional, and academic growth. Families meet, are provided a meal, and learn new skills in their child's school environment after school hours once a week. Childcare is provided.





Ms. Perez's Class learned about Dr. Martin Luther King and the importance of what he left behind.

21st Century kids created this rocking New Year craft as a great way for kids to start getting excited about the possibilities and adventures the New Year might hold. Of course, the New Year will be absolutely and totally rocking! 🤩
